Enhancing Lives

Local Roots, Sustainable Journeys.

At Africa Eco Expeditions Camp, our commitment begins with the people and the landscapes they call home. We proudly employ an entirely local team, creating meaningful pathways for Tanzanians at every stage of their safari careers.

Our family extends far beyond roles and titles—it is the living heartbeat of our camp. We believe a truly diverse workplace reflects the richness of the communities we serve, and we are dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment where every individual is empowered to show up fully and authentically.

Success, for us, is not measured solely by outcomes, but by the growth, dignity, and fulfillment of each member of our team. United by our differences, we draw strength from diversity, cultivating a culture that values individuality, encourages innovation, and ensures every voice is heard. This is more than a workplace—it is a community built on respect, purpose, and shared stewardship.

Beyond our camp, we actively support conservation and education initiatives including Remembering Wildlife, United Tanzania, educational initiatives, among others.

“The most amazing trip you may ever have!
I’m an experienced independent traveller and have been fortunate to have visited some amazing places and had great experiences. My week with Africa Eco Expeditions was one of the best I’ve ever had, I really can’t convey how amazing it was to see such incredible wildlife and to stay at the camp. The exceptional aspect of the trip was the feeling of having the Lobo valley to ourselves, there were very few other safari vehicles when I was there (I have seen photographs from Kenya with almost traffic jam situations) and the sheer variety and quantity of of flora and fauna was unbelievable. Our guide was highly experienced and we never spent much time driving before seeing something incredible. I have never photographed wildlife before and looking back at my shots now it seems incredible that I was able to take such great shots. The camp itself is very cool, the decor is really brilliant, the tents are very well appointed with comfortable beds and the food was superb. And all the staff are very friendly and attentive. This was genuinely an extraordinary experience and I can’t recommend it enough.”

“Best Place in the world!
I have stayed at the Africa Eco Expeditions camp several times, and I keep coming back for so many reasons! The camp is amazing and wonderfully designed, and the staff at the camp have become friends over the years, and are the friendliest people I have ever met. I have no idea how the chef can create such amazing food, especially with the rural location of the camp, but it is always amazing and they always cater well for vegetarians.
I am a wildlife photographer, and I love to spend time at the camp because of how well they cater for photographers. They have a purpose built vehicle specially made for photography, created by photographers for photographers. The wildlife sightings in the area are incredible, with lions, hyenas, giraffes, zebra and other native wildlife in the area. The guides are masters at making sure the wildlife is spotted and not disturbed, and the welfare of the animals is always the most important thing. While so many safaris prioritise letting the visitors see as much as they can in a way that harms the ecosystem or blocks the migrations, Africa Eco Expeditions makes sure that guests are satisfied and the wildlife is not disturbed at all.
I would recommend Africa Eco Expeditions to anyone that wants to visit Tanzania, anyone that has an interest in wildlife photography or anyone that wants a unique and warm welcome from the best in the business.
hank you Africa Eco Expeditions, I can’t wait to stay with you again soon!”

“Beautiful area for photography
A great boutique camp for those seeking a true wilderness experience. I had incredible sightings of lions on the kopjes in the few days I was there— as a photographer, it is now one of my favorite areas. Great service in a gorgeous area with lots of resident buffalos and giraffes along with a high cat population.”

“Far from the crowds.
Great location. Great value. Great food.
If you are looking for something different, like no other you will find on safari…Africa Eco should be your go to place. Our room overlooked the hills, providing a spectacular view.
The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, with a very understated elegance, the decor is amazing. The only noise you hear is the symphony of all the creatures, throw in the lion roars and hyena sounds..doesn’t get much better.
From the moment you arrive until the moment you leave, you are made to feel special. This was my second visit, and will not be my last one! Can’t wait to return. Thank you to the amazing team.”

“Hidden gem tented camp in Lobo
We had a very pleasant stay at Africa Eco Expeditions Camp. Victor and the team were kind and attentive and they looked after us very well.
The location is peaceful and the tent was very comfortable with everything you might need, even a hot water bottle which was a nice surprise.
We loved sitting by the fire at dusk with a cold beer, listening to cicadas and zebra nearby as day turned to night.
Dinner was very tasty and breakfast of fresh fruit, muffins and eggs set us up for the day.
The drive to the camp from Seronera passes through vast open plains and hilly woodlands with plenty of opportunities to see wildlife.I imagine it’s a good spot to stay to see the migration when it’s passing through.”

Sera I

“Definitely recommend for old time safari feel, incredible privacy and animals
We had a lovely time here listening to lions, hyenas and seeing the wildebeest and zebras migrating through the valley in front of the tents. Some also heard the leopard and we saw two the next day.
October can be cool, so bring a jacket. Days are warm and nights cool. Great beds and food!”

Gennifer R

“Loving and very well equipped camp
Very friendly staff, you will be warmly welcomed. The tents are equipped with everything you need and offer the usual comfort with hot water, electricity etc. The food was super delicious and attention was also paid to intolerances or eating habits.
My husband was sick for a day, just lying in bed, and they took care of him very lovingly.
This camp is highly recommended!”

Selina S

“A wonderful experience and stay surrounded by animals, super friendly and helpful staff, and very safe. I give it a 10!
The accommodation is excellent, the tent is very spacious and clean and has everything you need. The food is very good and the staff are very friendly and helpful. 10/10! The location is great, you stay right among the animals, and there are people walking around all the time to keep an eye on the area, so it’s very safe.”
